SCHEDULING & AVAILABILITY

  • Enrollment begins with a complimentary consultation by phone or video call to determine if our program is the right fit. From there, we structure lessons on a month-to-month basis.

  • Yes. We offer both weekend and evening sessions to accommodate busy schedules.

  • We understand that schedules can change. We offer flexible rescheduling options with advance notice.

LESSON FORMAT & LOCATION

  • Our studio is located in Georgetown's Canal Square — Winter Palace Gallery, 1054 31st Street NW, Suite 008, Washington, D.C. 20007. It offers a quiet and professional learning environment.

  • Yes. Online lessons via Zoom are available for students who prefer a remote learning experience.

  • Lessons typically last one hour, though some students opt for longer sessions based on their goals and needs.

  • Every student receives a monthly PDF lesson plan customized to their progress and learning goals.

EQUIPMENT & MATERIALS

  • While having your own guitar is ideal for practice, we do offer rental options for students who are still deciding on an instrument.

  • Yes. We maintain relationships with reputable guitar manufacturers and dealers who can offer the best possible guidance and pricing.

  • All lesson materials, including sheet music, are provided and customized to each student's needs.

PERFORMANCE & PROGRESS

  • The Academy has hosted student concert series at The Lyceum in Alexandria and The Church of the Epiphany in Washington, D.C. Performing is a vital part of building confidence and artistry.

  • This is one of our specialties. Georgetown Guitar Academy has produced national and regional competition winners and has helped students successfully audition for top music schools in the United States and Europe.

  • Yes. We provide structured feedback and progress reports to ensure continual improvement and clarity of direction.
